You Are Imperfectly Perfect Just The Way You Are

Source: Truth Theory | by Luke Miller

An often unspoken part of this spiritual journey that many of us are taking is that we go through ego flares, become judgmental and/or lose compassion, maybe not for all but for certain groups, in certain moments.

This is reality and I know you don't hear this in the "change you life in 7 days" style positive books, films and videos. But truth is this is how it is. What we are led to believe is attainable by just being positive is not real, sustainable or healthy, and when someone teaches about these subjects they get to handpick the piece of themselves they share.

We are all flawed, it doesn't matter how many cups of green juice you drink, if you are a vegan or if you can recite every word out of whichever holy/spiritual book you believe in. None of us are or ever will be perfect.

Often the most tuned in people we meet on our journeys are the waitress' in the restaurant, the homeless man on the street or the prison inmates that many look down upon.

And sometimes the most judgemental and non tolerant are spiritual teachers with 10 million Twitter followers, Priests and/or men/women of God, or members of the community who are looked upon as upstanding citizens.

Those who are truly in touch with their essence (by definition spiritual) are those who are in service. Those who give more than they take. Those doing as they are for the pure love of the planet and all its inhabitants.

We are all human, and those who choose to be will be taking the steps needed to become the best version of themselves possible. However, we all make mistakes and there is no need to live up to something that cannot be attained.

I am using this article to invite you to be imperfectly perfect, and really embrace the good, the bad and all the inbetween aspects of yourself. Lets bridge the duality of good and bad, and accept that we are all a work in progress. Like Leonardo Da Vinci's "The Mona Lisa", after just a few brush strokes, we all have the ability to become the work beautiful, complete work of art, we just need to live realistically and accept we are on the way!

Please share 1 thing about yourself which is perfectly imperfect in the comments section and share this article with everyone you love to let them know they are perfect just the way they are.
